Most visitors — including citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and the EU — do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days for tourism. You simply need a passport valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date. Always check the latest requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Visa-free visitors can usually stay for up to 90 days. If you wish to stay longer, you must apply for an extension at a local police station before your 90 days expire.
Yes. Morocco is one of the safest countries in North Africa for travellers, including families and solo female travellers. As in any destination, use common sense — keep an eye on your belongings in busy souks and use registered taxis or a trusted private driver.
We recommend drinking bottled or filtered water, which is cheap and widely available. Bottled water is provided in our vehicles throughout your tour.
No special vaccinations are required for Morocco, but it is always best to check with your doctor or a travel clinic before you go and ensure your routine vaccinations are up to date.

The currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD). It is a closed currency, so it is best obtained on arrival from an ATM or exchange bureau. ATMs are widely available in cities and towns.
Credit and debit cards are accepted in hotels, larger restaurants, and shops in the cities, but you will need cash for souks, small cafes, taxis, and rural areas. Carry some cash with you at all times.
Tipping is customary and appreciated. As a guide, round up taxi fares, leave 10% in restaurants, and tip guides and drivers at the end of a tour based on your satisfaction. It is always a personal choice.
Morocco is a Muslim country, so modest, comfortable clothing that covers shoulders and knees is respectful, especially in medinas and rural areas. Lightweight layers, a scarf, and comfortable walking shoes are ideal, plus a warm layer for desert and mountain evenings.
